The Moroccan-born Sofia Pernas moved to California at the age of 5 old. She grew up living in Orange County. She received her break into acting in the year of 2015. The same year, Sofia Pernas graduated from University of California San Diego. Pernas was a small part in NCIS as well as Leverage. After that, she was offered the part of Marisa at The Young and the Restless. In the wake of her departure from soap-opera Jane the Virgin in 2016, the actress was cast in the role of Catalina the character that featured on the show often. The model who speaks several languages is now on The Brave as Hannah Rivera, The Green Ghost and Secret Society of Second Born Royals. From 2019 to 2020, she portrayed Lexi Vaziri in Blood & Treasure. Us Weekly revealed in May of 2020 that Pernas was in a relationship with Justin Hartley, her The Young and the Restless co-star. The romance came after Hartley's This Is Us star split from her spouse Chrishell Stause November of this year. News came out the following month that Pernas and Hartley were recently married with a private ceremony.
